Beginnings
IRC came to be in late February 2007. The chat room was dull and thinking of ways to push its popularity up, Will came up with the idea for a comic. He made several short pieces of quick and questionable quality in flash and posted them up immediately.
KillerSteak was added as an assistant, and he began to do strips mimicking the style of Will's short pieces. Though Will had not intended to keep the style of little men with stumpy limbs, it soon stuck and became a staple of the comic.
Endings
With Will bogged down in schoolwork and 6 other addictions, presumably crack cocaine, cheap wine coolers, and non-alcholic beer, KillerSteak tried to keep up the pace of a quick gag each day. Frustrated however with the archives getting bogged down with guest strips and the occasional quick one strip rant from Will, KillerSteak decided it was time to begin sIRC.
KillerSteak went on with IRC, doing one IRC strip then one sIRC strip, until he gave up at #200. The mantel of assistant went on to Jebus as per his request.
Jebus updated once with a premade strip that was an intended guest piece, then he uploaded a picture of bread.

The End
IRC died following an immature outburst of teenage angst from Kill-Will, at least 6 people were upset he deleted Jebus' picture of bread and proof of his ability to create it yet couldn't manage to delete any of his more recent comics. Jebus=1 Will=0
The Evolved Style
The characters have mostly always been the same pillowcase limb type things. Except for when Will goes insane and gives them sleeves, hands and feet.
Characters
As the comic began, it was understood that not every man and his sheep could have a character in the comic. Though at one point the idea was to get new readers to join the chat in order to have a character, the unspoken rule was that they'd have to be regulars in the chat. Adding in people who joined the chat willynilly would have ended us up with thousands of characters that would never get used.
In the beginning most characters added were usually those who were in the room as we were drawing up strips. As time went on several characters started not showing up in chat anymore, so they were phased out of use in the comic: Rydel, who's shirt was an interesting plot point for some reason, was half killed off and morphed into Hitler. HPK disappeared completely. Black Kitty wasn't ever really in the comic anyway, just in a splash page showing her character.

The Short Stories
Most strips are self contained jokes about something that happened in chat that day, but every now and then a story will pop up.
KillerSteak's Short IRC Story
KillerSteak, Rydel and Will are relaxing in the room when all of a sudden a Peer attacks and starts disconnecting them. Rydel counters with his detailed shirt powers but it takes the strength of Randal to set things right again.
Enter the Jersey
Will and Jerseyboy have a sketch battle, taking it in turns to draw a strip.
Randal's Story
Randal tells everyone the history of #drunkduck, how he became an op, the op war that eventuated, and the death of Drunkduck.
A Story!
Bored, KillerSteak wants to see the Teen MechaJebus movie only the admission price is one banana. Not having any bananas they search through IRC looking for one, only to find Rydel has been kidnapped. They battle The Pinguin (his first appearance), rescue Rydel and receive a giant banana for their efforts.
Poke at Hitler
KillerSteak knows some good Hitler jokes, the other laugh but Jerseyboy doesn't. Why is this? Turns out he's replaced Rydel's brain with Hitler's. Hitler arrives and threatens to take over IRC, though only after becoming everyone's friend.
Wrath of the Pinguin
Pinguin wants Randal to give him ops. Randal won't.
World War IRC
Master DC arrives, partners with Pinguin, they acquire the detailed shirt for their new Peer army, and they try to take over #drunkduck with them. The good guys win.

Blues wants to be a superhero. He does so. Only for a week though.
