What is #DrunkDuck?
#DrunkDuck is an officially unofficial IRC chat room of the web comic hosting site Drunk Duck It is located on irc.sorcery.net under #drunkduck.

History
#Drunkduck got its start back in 2002. After a founder coup in 2003, the room was moved to irc.severed.org where Volte6 put Randal in charge. There it accumulated several regulars and enjoyed companionship with #nightgig. Eventually, severed.org became plagued with problems, namely the IRCop named Hatred going batshit crazy, and the chat slowly died.
HPKomic then found a new server on Sorcery for both #drunkduck and #nightgig, but with Drunk Duck no longer linking to or promoting the room, all activity shifted to #nightgig. About a year later, JTPokie banned the use of profanity and adult situations in #nightgig due to his young daughter taking an interest in webcomics and Nightgig. Feeling this was unfair to long-time established chatters, Randal revived #drunkduck as an uncensored room. A few of the old regulars came back but several new faces also came along.
